#Breaking Charles Parrish Has Been Taken Into Custody From A Tip Made To Crime Stoppers

On August 9th, 2019 the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office alerted the public to an active felony warrant on Charles Trent Parrish for the offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after he eluded capture the previous night.

On August 10th, 2019 Hunt County Crime Stoppers received an anonymous tip that Mr. Parrish was hiding in a residence in the 2500 block of Monroe Street in Commerce Texas. The Commerce Police Department was notified of this tip and responded to the location where Mr. Parrish was taken into custody without incident.

Sheriff Meeks stated: “I want to thank for the public for the tips that came in to Hunt County Crime Stoppers in the search for this violent offender. I also want to commend Lt. Clark with the Commerce Police Department for taking swift action to make sure that Mr. Parrish was taken into custody without further incident”.

Armed Robbery Overnight In Commerce #Breaking

Commerce Police officers responded to a reported home invasion robbery just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning to a residence in the 1300 block of Prim Street.

Upon arrival officers found several armed suspects fleeing on foot. Officers gave chase with the assistance of officers from the Texas A&M Police Department.

We have been told 3 subjects were detained, unknown if they were arrested.

This is an ongoing investigation and all the information Commerce P.d released at this time

Investigator Kenneth Peters & Constable Terry Jones Do It Again

On July 1, 2019 Hunt County Theft Reports shared a post of a stolen tractor from the Houston County area near Grapeland, Texas. The tractor was reported stolen on June 28, 2019 from the area of CR 2300 & CR 2310 in Houston County

Today 8/1/2019 someone notified one of the Hunt County investigators that they had information on the stolen tractor which they saw posted on #HCTR. Constable Terry Jones & Investigator Kenneth Peters went to the location on CR 4513 in Commerce, that was giving by the tipster. Behind the barn sat the stolen 2004 John Deere Tractor. The tractor appeared to be in working condition, other than a front flat tire.

Benson Brothers Wrecker Service was called to the scene to impound the tractor for the Hunt County Sheriffs Office.

We would first off like to give a shout out to the tipster that gave the tip leading to the recovery of this stolen tractor. Second we would like to give a big thank you to Terry Jones & Kenneth Peters with the Hunt County Sheriffs Department for always finding this equipment that comes up missing from our hard working farmers.

So always thank twice before bringing stolen equipment into Hunt County, We have topnotch investigators that get the job done.

Subjects In Commerce Robbed At Gun Point In The Village Creek Apartments

Officers with the Commerce Police Department responded to the 2200 block of Live Oak St around 2:40am Wednesday night for reports of a robbery in progress.

Dispatch received a call from a Male subject stating him and his roommate were held at gunpoint while 4 individuals demanded money.

When officers arrived on scene the 4 individuals fled on foot. 2 of the 4 suspects were later captured and booked on charges of Aggravated Robbery.

No more info was released on the 2 suspects who have not been captured.
