#Breaking Charles Parrish Has Been Taken Into Custody From A Tip Made To Crime Stoppers

On August 9th, 2019 the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office alerted the public to an active felony warrant on Charles Trent Parrish for the offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after he eluded capture the previous night.

On August 10th, 2019 Hunt County Crime Stoppers received an anonymous tip that Mr. Parrish was hiding in a residence in the 2500 block of Monroe Street in Commerce Texas. The Commerce Police Department was notified of this tip and responded to the location where Mr. Parrish was taken into custody without incident.

Sheriff Meeks stated: “I want to thank for the public for the tips that came in to Hunt County Crime Stoppers in the search for this violent offender. I also want to commend Lt. Clark with the Commerce Police Department for taking swift action to make sure that Mr. Parrish was taken into custody without further incident”.

Subject Who Escaped Arrest From Hunt County Officers Last Week Is Now In Custody

Gary Matthew Cleveland has been booked into the Hunt County Jail as of 05/15/2019 on charges of MTR/ASSAULT FAMILY/HOUSEHOLD MEM PREV CONV and a new charge of EVADING ARREST DETENTION.

Lone Oak officer 702 called pursuit of a vehicle back on May 7, 2019. Officer initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle took off down FM 513 S. The vehicle eventually stopped, with one male subject exiting the vehicle on foot, running into the woods. Lone Oak officers along with Hunt County Sheriff Officers attempted to locate the suspect. A local Helicopter service Mr D’s took Lone Oak officer 700 high above the tress donating his time and chopper in hopes of spotting the suspect running thru the woods.

Unfortunately the suspect was never caught that night, officers believe a Dodge pickup truck was able to help MR Cleveland make his escaped that night.

On May 8, 2019 Lone Oak released the identity of the suspect as, Gary Matthew Cleveland. All officers and other local departments were made aware of the situation. We can proudly say today that Gary Matthew Cleveland is in custody.

Good job to all the different departments that made putting this criminal behind bars.
