Around 6:19 this morning HCEMS, GPD and GFD responded to the area on 69 and 380 for a reported Auto vs PED. Once on scene units found 1 person on the ground. GPD requested HCEMS over the radio to have a helicopter on standby.
HCEMS supervisor arrived on scene and requested a helicopter seconds of making scene. AirEvac 67 declined due to weather, PHI med 2 also declined to weather. Carflite 4 was launched to the scene. PT was eventually transported by ground ambulances due to CPR in progress
The area was worked by first responders for a long period of time for an investigation. At this time we don’t have a condition of the PT. We will put in a request to GPD PIO.
On May 14, 2019, at 9:09 p.m., the Greenville Police Department received a report of an accident involving a pedestrian in the 4300 block of Wesley Street. Upon arrival,
officers discovered a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle remained on-scene and rendered aid to the pedestrian. The pedestrian, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, was transported to Hunt Regional Medical Center by ambulance. The driver, who fully
cooperated with the accident investigation, was not charged with any violation.
The investigation is open and no further information is available at this time.
